Minerva Arts Center presents it 2024 summer season workshops!

DESIGN Workshop!

In this one week workshop, we will be getting our hands dirty with set design and prop design! We will be taking on our Little to Big show and starting from the top and breaking it down scene for scene. Creating the environments and props needed to put on the production. If times allows we could move on to some lighting and costume design.

Ages: 7 & up
Dates: July 8th -July 12th, 2pm-5pm
Workshop Fee: $125

Gleekers!- Students present an evening of song and dance ranging from Contemporary, Classic, and Broadway hits! During this one week workshop, students and teaching artists create a fully produced performance that will entertain audiences of all ages. Workshop focus on voice and choreography elements of a performance piece, with individual, duets, and ensemble numbers.

Ages: 7 & up
Dates: July 10th -July 14th , 12pm-5pm
Performance: Friday, July 14th @ 7pm
Workshop Fee: $175

Rocking Alice

Minerva Arts Center presents… ROCKIN’ ALICE

Rockin’ Alice is a wonderful adventure through Wonderland, where we meet some of our favorite characters. Come follow Alice through this interesting land with some familiar tunes. Let’s see if Alice can get out of wonderland without losing her head!

This multi-age three-week workshop celebrates classic musical theatre with focus on ensemble building, voice and physical technique, and a fully produced production with three performances.

Workshop dates: April 15th through May 2oth, 2023
Location: The First Congregational Church of Adams.
Performances: May 19th (7pm) and 20th (2pm,7pm)

Actors from Grades 1 and up are invited to join us for this exciting performance workshop, which culminates in a full-length production.

Tuition: $325 (Due at first rehearsal)

Registration must be submitted by 4/18/2022

Location: First Congregational church of Adams, 42 Park St, Adams, MA 01220
Workshop will begin with auditions on, April 23rd and end with performances on May 20th at 7pm, and May 21st at 2pm & 7pm.
All Rehearsals are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Rehearsal dates are as follows: April 23rd, 24th, 30th, May 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th.

Winter workshop 2022

Due to the increase of Covid cases locally, and for the best interest of our students, staff, and families, we have decided to postpone our Winter show. However, “THE SHOW MUST GO ON!”. We will update this page once we feel it is safe to move forward. If you are interested in participating in our winter production, please email Cassi @ info@minervaartscenter.org.

Fall 2021 Workshop

Minerva Arts Center is pleased to announce our Fall 2021 musical workshop

A Minerva Arts Original- “The Magical World of Musicals”

Actors from Grades 1 and up are invited to join us for this exciting Performance Workshop, which culminates in a full-length musical production.

Tuition: $325 (Due at first rehearsal)

Registration must be submitted by 10/12/2021

Location: First Congregational church of Adams, 42 Park St, Adams, MA 01220
Workshop will begin with auditions on, October 16th* and and end with performances on November 19th & 20th. (Time TBD)
*October 16th (Auditions) will run from 10am-2pm. Rehearsals are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Rehearsal dates are as follows: Oct 17th, 23rd, 24th, 30th, 31st, Nov 6th, 7th, 11th*, 13th, 14th.

*Thursday, November 11th Veterans Day rehearsal 12-5pm. (TBD)

2021 Spring March Madness Workshops

Minerva Arts Center is pleased to present our virtual 2021 Spring March Madness workshops!

Workshops will run on Saturday\Sunday from 12pm-5pm, and a virtual showcase from 5pm-6pm (With the exception of our Crochet Weekend). Registration can be found below. Contact Cassi at info@minervaartscenter.org for more information.

Crochet weekend

March 13-14, 12pm-5pm

Cost: $50

Join Cassi in learning the basics of crochet. All the base info need to create your first project.

All material will be provided.

Design weekend

March 20-21, 12pm-6pm

Cost: $50

Join us to learn a bit about each design aspect of theater. From sets to lights.

All materials will be provided for our final project, a virtual Showcase at 5pm

Monologue and song weekend

March 27-28, 12pm-6pm

Cost: $50

A part of the musical march madness workshop. Learn the art of preforming a monologue and solo to a song of your choice. This workshop will culminate to a virtual Performance on Sunday at 5pm
